I hadn't stopped by Hurricane Betty's for at least five years, so I thought I would check it out. Parking is better than in the past, and located across the street. Cover is $5. The club interior has been changed a bit since the last time I was there. Lap dances are in a separate row of seats with small partitions that are in the main room, but not right next to the main stage. Overall, the interior is much nicer than Centerfolds or Lamplighte, and on par with Mario's down in Webster. On Tuesday they don't open unit 6 PM, so I timed my visit for 6:30, hoping that there would be a few customers and a dancer on the stage. After a few songs a dancer came out on the stage. She was a nice looking blond (early 30's?) with big natural pierced tits. Second dancer was a hot young slender brunette. Third dancer was a cute black girl, probably about 23 or 24. I don't know if they have more dancers later at night or later in the week. overall, I would say dancer quality is good, and all of the girls were friendly.

Hurricna Betty's has a new policy about lap-dances which seems to be a generally stupid idea. You have to buy tokens in advance from the bartender, bouncer or disk jockey. Tokens are $25 for one token, $115 for 5 tokens or $210 for 10 tokens. I assume the dancer gets paid $20 for each token she collects. I don't know about you, but I usually know half way through first song whether I picked the right girl for a lapdance. So why woudl I wnat to buy 5 or 10 tokens if the lap-dance quality isn't great? Between having to buy tokens, and the very non-secluded location of the lap dance seats, I didn't expect much 2 way contact at this club. After finishing a second beer, I decided to head home.

I'd recommend this club if you want to look at attractive girls in a nicely maintained club.
