My first visit to a Canadian...

My first visit to a Canadian club, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm from the US, so my review will be from an American's point of view. ;)

Club was pretty good in size, though it had a unique layout: large round stage in the center of the room, with the floor of the center of room sunken a few steps. The place was nice esthetically, and a nice relaxed atmosphere. It wasn't posh, but wasn't dirty or run-down.

When I arrived, the first thing I did was ask the bartender if they took American money as I was unable to use my bank card at an ATM I had stopped at. Fortunately he said they did, so I bought a reasonably priced beer. I then asked if I could get some singles. He started saying something about 'loonies' and I quickly realized I should have brushed up on Canadian currency before I crossed the border! I found out that the smallest denomination bill was a $5, so I ended up getting some of those since the idea of tipping with coins seemed odd. Once I had my drink and some tipping money, I headed down and sat at a table not far from the stage.
