I recently stopped in at Irving's after I found another nearby club dead at the time. Much to my surprise, Irving’s has recently been completely renovated! The place looks a lot nicer, but the quality of the experience is considerably worse than it was before (& that’s saying a lot)!

The main problem now is that they’ve eliminated the VIP rooms that used to have entrances on the front & right walls. The one on the front wall is completely closed off & the one on the right wall is now a dancer dressing room. Now the elevated back section of the club is the main VIP area, which is completely visible to everyone in the club. There are also 2 little VIP booths next to the mens room that each has a small wall that give some privacy depending on what angle your looking from. But the stupid thing is these booths face each other on the side where’s there’s no wall or anything, so if 2 couples are usin ‘em they can see each other. In typical Irving’s fashion, these ridiculous booths cost $10, while I didn’t bother to ask how much it cost to go to the main VIP in the back.

It looks like Irving decided to get rid of the extracurriculars that have been his calling card for a long time. Oh well, that’s another spot that gets crossed off my list! For a normal SC experience, there are clubs with better facilities, more & higher quality dancers & lower prices than the new Irving’s. R.I.P.
