Arrived on a Monday afternoon around 3:30pm. The bar seating was filled with customers, probably around 15 guys in the club at the time. Not only black guys, but also white guys in business attire. No cover charge, and only $4.75 for a drink. Didn’t see many dancers, only a couple sitting at the bar BS’ing with regulars. Which is typical for Starz and the other Gardena clubs. Starz is really a club for locals and regulars, where guys come to BS with the dancers and have a drink. And most of the dancers sit with their regulars and joke and BS most of the time. So if you’re not a regular, you’re probably gonna have a more difficult time getting a dancer’s attention. Which, to me, is a big negative with most of the Gardena clubs.

Anyway, I checked the marker board by the front door to see how many dancers on shift, and there were only 4. Bummer. Four dancers, maybe 15 regulars. Not a good ratio. I hung around for maybe a half hour, and finally saw all four dancers. None were really hot, though one was tall, and curvy, with long hair. Just my type. But she was locked down with her regulars and pretty much ignored me (as did the others), so I lost interest fairly quickly.

In my experience, if you want the attention of a dancer in a Gardena club, you need to tip them while they’re on stage. Then, after their set, they’ll probably (though not always) come around and thank you, at which time you can ask them for a dance. Otherwise, you might be sitting there for a very long time just hoping someone will make the rounds, which they rarely do.
