I had the afternoon free and had to be in near Providence, so decided to do something that I have been wanting to do for a while - I did a strip club crawl. I went to virtually every club in Providence from about 2 PM to about 4 PM and will be entering reviews for each. The only club I didn't go to was Satin Doll both due to its inconvenience - you need to go into the city and pay for parking - and because it is a bikini bar - I mean, what's the point?

Foxy is clearly a very nice club and I can see why many guys love this place. The entire club has been redone over the past few years and it is definately more upscale than many of the other Providence clubs with the exception of Desire which also is upscale. However, I think they did a lousy job with the lap dance area - there are these small benches that are side by side in long rows that are back to back and a few benches on the sides. While one of the girls says there is privacy, I saw absolutely none (they let me walk around a bit as there were no dances happening when I was there). Other reviewers have commented that you need to step over people and I could see if a dancer was doing a lap dance, there would be almost no room to get by - total turn off for me, especially as I tend to get about 30 lap dances for each CR I get. However, the price of the lap dance was only $25 but I never heard if that was topless, nude, or up to the dancer. The cashier in the LD area led me to believe that it was up to the dancer but she wasn't sure. However, the other areas of the club, including the new VIP lounge were really nice for relaxing and chatting with a girl or your friends. However, don't know what you need to do to be able to sit in the VIP lounge - suspect you need some form of membership. If that is the case, certainly no where as nice as Lush at Desire.

The girls were mostly pretty and a few came up to me to see if I wanted company but the ones that came up to me were totally not my style (young and petite). However, there were two to three girls by the bar that looked like they might have been more my style but they never made any effort to come over and say Hi and I was mostly standing around by myself and they were not with any guys, so negative marks on dancer friendliness. However, the dancers were mostly older and other than one dancer was on stage (she only went topless), didn't see any well enough to say that I would have bought a LD even if the rooms were nicer.

The other thing I found out is that the CR is $160 for 15 minutes or $300 for 30 minutes. I think she said it was $450 for an hour but don't quote me. I don't know if this is standard or not but sort of suspect it is. The CR are located downstairs and didn't venture down there.

Also, this place was fairly dead - no more than a dozen customers and about the same number of dancers - that is also a turn off for me.
