Made my first trip to Club...

Made my first trip to Club Bristol at around 11:30 on a Monday night. I can see some of the points of the other reviewers about the benefit of this being a smaller country bar, but on this night that uniqueness added up to a sour experience.

After parking in the dark lot, I made my way in and paid the $7 cover to the door guy, who was also running back regularly to the DJ booth. There were probably 10-12 guys around the bar and 7-8 girls working. I grabbed a drink and headed to the stage, which is at floor level and surrounded by a railing and a dozen chairs. I should've known right away that I was in for trouble. The first dancer -- a heavier 5 -- flipped her legs on my shoulder and waved her backside in my face, actually rubbing my face. Normally this would be an amazing hello, but here, it just literally stunk inches from my face. Not good.

The other dancers were outgoing 6-7s with lots of tattoos and one with every imaginable piercing. Some did really good pole work and most gave you up-close attention for a dollar or two. One 9 felt out of place in this dive. Only one dancer asked for a dance ($20), which I declined because I felt dirty - and not in a good way. There is an attached outdoor smoking room to comply with Wisconsin's smoking law, but it is not well ventilated and the whole bar still smells of smoke. I almost had to laugh when I noticed a bunch of flies near the stage, landing on or near the rail and the patrons. It was overall a disgusting visit - and not one I think I will revisit soon. Do yourself a favor and try one of the other Madison options until Bristol does some freshening up.
