Saturday's weather was beautiful, so I decided to have a little fun trip to 7th Street. At 10:00 pm, the parking lot at Thorobred was crowded, so I stopped. This club is large...a big T shaped stage, long bar, many tables for 2 or 4 people, uncomfortable chairs, and a pool table in the back corner.

When I walked through the doors, my first thought was "where is everybody". A bored overweight dancer was on stage with nobody at the tip rail. Four guys were playing pool in the back corner. One dancer was sitting at the bar playing one of those video games. And three or four men (obviously regulars) standing at the end of the bar with the bartender, waitress and two dancers. My domestic longneck was $3. I sat at the bar and watched a football game for 30 minutes. The second dancer they called to the stage was bigger than the first. When my beer was gone, a third big dancer was on the stage, the one dancer was still playing the video game and the corner of regulars was still occupying the rest of the staff. No one came to offer me another beer or to see if I was interested in company.

As I was leaving, there were still a good number of cars in the lot...I have no idea where the people were. Needless to say, I will not be returning. With this type of service, I am not sure how they stay open.
