Haven't been to KOD in about...

Haven't been to KOD in about 10 years, mainly because I'm rarely in that neck of the woods any more. But was close by tonight before the end of the free cover at 5 p.m. And figured it would be a risk less adventure. They had $1 beer special going until 5:30 which was nice, too. KOD is one of the rare Minnesota clubs that's fully nude and serves alcohol. Wide range of looks in the girls. Even wider range of demographics of customers. This place used to be where new dancers could cut their teeth and old dancers would transition out of the game. There's still some of that, but also a few quality diamonds. And to my surprise, I met up with a great friend from club's past. Midway through my shift she passed my table while going to a dance area with a customer and gave me a very friendly hello. She recognized me, and minutes later I recalled she was "Victoria" from the old Jake's club down the road, which has been closed for 10 years. She goes by Simone now. Suddenly my interest level went up and she eventually came back with another warm greeting and when I said I remembered her from Jake's she gave me a long, tight hug. I didn't come with much cash that night, but she gave me the three best dances I've ever had at what is a pretty low-mileage club. And I promised not to wait another 10 years to see her again.
