Lumberyard II is the biggest club in Cedar Rapids and the major destinatio for anyone looking for a club. It is located just off the interstate but takes a little meandering to find. It has the typical entrance and cover charges, which can be avoided if you bring one of the coupons off their website before 7. The club has comfortable chairs with a tub for your byob beverage of choice. The bouncers are polite and helpful. The DJ is fairly typical, with very little chit chat to introduce the dancers. The club doesn't maintain an online schedule so it can be hit or miss on finding dancers. On a Saturday night the club can be fairly busy, but during the week it can be dead with very few dancers working. The dancers are generally attractive girls from around town with a few visiting from surrouundng cities. There are multiple stages, but the weekend is the only time you see them filled. The main runway is surrounded by chairs. The dancers are usually skilled at the pole. They go through a few songs before their floor set, which can include alot of pink for tipping customers. These aren't shy girls by Iowa standards, or most others. A few dollars bring most kitties up close and personal. It's really not unusual to see a few fingers dipped now and then. Private dances are generally considerd pretty explicit for most dancers, but it varies between the "dirty" and "clean" girls. It is a full two way touch club with high mileage. Kitty touching isn't allowed, certaily not in public. Some dancers I've known left the club because they felt there were too many extras for clean girls to compete. More than one dancer suggested extras were possible for the right price, however I have no first hand experience, so it may have been a hustle. Overall the club is worth visiting at the right time.
