One of my oldest and closest...

One of my oldest and closest friends had his bachelor party in Hamilton, NY, so we made the trek over to Syracuse and Paradise Found for the first evening of our weekend trip.

We arrived around 9:00 and checked in with our party (9 people if I recall) as we had purchased one of their group packages which included discounted admission and one lap dance token for each member of the party. The staff were friendly and accommodating, though we weren’t really treated any differently from any other customers. We weren’t seated together, so our party dispersed amongst a couple of tables and the stage. Drinks were quite reasonable by my (NYC) standards at $5 and change for domestic beer.

We pooled our dance tokens to buy the groom-to-be an extended VIP session with two girls while the rest of us either drank at the bar or tipped at the stage. Stage performances ranged from energetic to listless and removed, but I suppose this is always to be expected. It seems mini-laps for tipping at the stage are the norm here, and a large portion of each dancer’s set was dedicated to these quick stage-side lap dances. There was a selection (which increased dramatically as the night wore on) of girls, almost all of whom were local white girls of various shapes and sizes. I think I spotted a lone black girl and a lone Latina amongst the entire Friday night staff. Most of these girls were pretty trim (though a few were a bit softer) and mostly cute rather than sultry or elegant (if that makes sense). There was a real and noticeable mix of sharkish ambition and naïve inexperience, and it was pretty clear who was making all the money that night. The sales pressure varied accordingly. While all of the girls were friendly and polite, few were scintillating conversationalists.
