Pumptown is one of those joints...

Pumptown is one of those joints hidden away in the suburbs, and as such, not a bad place but being only 30 minutes from downtown Philly makes one think twice when I can go into Philly for a much better experience. The place is a woodframe house-like structure and inside is like your typical neighbor tavern. Nothing fancy, just a pool table, your standard bar-top video game machine and a bar surrounding a small stage in the center. They wouldn't dare charge cover to get in this place.

The upside to this place is that the girls seem to be into it and are really friendly and low pressure. Beer prices were fair but the private dances are a rip-off. They have an upstairs room which was $20 per song, but the rules were super strict about touching and the bouncer was up my ass the whole time saying hands off - WTF ? My dancer said we could go downstairs for $200 and there we could do "anything we wanted" - utter BS. Same rules and same bouncer accusing me of roaming hands, even though I was relatively well behaved.

Probably won't return because rules are too much. Too bad, because the girls were friendly but let's face it, we don't go to strip clubs to make friends, so crossing Pumptown off my list and taking my money to otehr places where they "get it."
