Weekday is not the time to...

Weekday is not the time to go to this club unless you have a favorite dancer. Few dancers (4) and fewer customers (1), me for awhile. Mid-afternoon I was the fifth customer through the door. This club does much better at night particularly Saturdays. The staff consists of one girl who works the door, pours and serves the drinks, and cleans the stage during break songs, a DJ and a manager. The music is varied and not too loud. The DJ does a good job of not putting dancers on stage when they are doing private dances. Sets are two songs about 3 minutes each with no break between songs.

The club has been remodeled since it was Rick's and seating capacity is about half as much. The chairs are comfortable and spaced out so it's easy to move around. The main stage is long and has more than twenty seats along the tip rail. The tip rail can have good action depending on the dancer. Almost all dancers dance nude on stage. Some put their legs over the customers shoulders and some sit on their laps. The second stage is smaller and opposite the main stage. The VIP room is separate from the main room in a corner next to the restroom. The champagne room is to the right of the main stage and back of the DJ. Increments of 15, 30 and 60 minutes are available. Price was not announced. Couch dances are $20 along the back wall. VIP dances are $30. Typical prices for DejaVu clubs in the area. In general overpriced for the quality of the dances. Dancer rules apply so YMMV depends entirely on the mood of the dancer and the dancer-customer relationship.

The mid-shift dancers (3) start about 4:00 p.m. Quality is better and more customers (5 at one time). Most of the dancers have danced at the Lake Forest Park DejaVu which is 30 blocks north. Dancers that have worked at non-DejaVu clubs tend to give better dances. Pandora's, a mile south, is a better value particularly for those from out of town, who may find Seattle prices somewhat high and quality of dancer low. However, contact level is much higher in Seattle than some other locales.
