I finally made a trek to the much-talked-about Hip Hugger in Kokomo. When I pulled into the parking lot, the Kokomo police were arresting a guy with a ‘fro in the parking lot. There were about four police cars there. Later, two cops came into the club and asked the manager questions and peeked around for five minutes. I am not sure what the guy did. The cover charge was $3. A soda or a glass of beer was $3. I got the impression the only beer they had was Budweiser and Bud Light from a tap. That was perfectly fine by me, but the glasses were only about 12 ounces which made the value fair at best. The club is one large room with one high stage. To tip, you have to walk up to the stage and stand. There is no annoying DJ. Before dancers get on stage, they pick their songs on a TouchTunes pay-per-play jukebox. Dancers will let you pick their songs if they trust you. Most of the music ended up being classic rock or songs that were at least ten years old since the dancers’ average age was probably somewhere around 33 or 34. Lap dances take place at one end of the club on chairs you might find at a bingo hall. The chairs don’t have armrests, allowing the strippers to straddle you. Dances are $10 and an excellent value. There is absolutely no privacy though, so don’t expect extras. The club has no VIP room.

There were eleven dancers on shift. All of the dancers here tended to be older; perhaps the youngest was 27 and the oldest just over 40. I think every single one had at least one kid. All of the talent was Caucasian, except for a token black girl. The ladies ranged from a 5 to a 7. Mileage during lap dances varied by dancer, and Amber was clearly grinding me so close and so hard that it was clear she wanted me to cream my pants. Miranda also gave me a very sensual grind that was just as good. The dancers didn’t mind you touching them. However, some Indian guys came in and started fingering a dancer’s pudding hatch. Word spread throughout the club like wildfire to “avoid the foreign guys”. They were ignored and left not too long after. The dancers wear pasties over their tits per local laws, but they are almost unnoticeable or “fall off”. Stage tipping here is sparse and most ladies will spend long periods with regulars.

Hip Hugger’s $10 lap dances are one of the best strip club values from coast to coast. The facility itself and the talent need improvement. I would return if I was in Kokomo, but would not make a special road trip to go to this club. Gasoline prices would offset what I would save with cheaper lappers. It does appear from what I have seen and read online that the Kokomo police are patrolling strip clubs more than they did in the past.
