First visit to Papermoon Downtown in several months (no travel to Richmond during the summer and had visited other clubs my last few trips). So as to avoid my own criticism of "visit reports," this will be a full review, but if you do not need the technical details, skip to the end for the highlight of my evening -- if I could come this club on a more regular basis, I'd have a new ATF for sure.

Papermoon Downtown is located in an area off Boulevard near The Diamond that is still mostly warehouses and industrial type commercial buildings, but the area is seeing some repurposing (lofts, a multiplex cinema, etc.). While the area is mostly deserted at nigh, PM's parking lot is well lighted and there is usually a bouncer or two watching things and checking IDs. I was not wanded or asked for an ID this visit, but I have been in the past.

I had a free admission coupon (old one I had printed last spring) and was told it was no longer valid (though it had no expiration date). I paid the cover ($10 after 7 PM this was 10 PM on Sunday). The theme was "Football Sunday" with some, but not all of the wait staff wearing jerseys. Steelers-Broncos was just starting the second half when I entered the main room.
