In this review I will concentrate on the lap dance experience at Visions. As is the case with most clubs that have both day and night shift, there can be differences between the two at Visions. There are normally fewer dancers with a lower average attractiveness on day shift. In the past this was made up for by the more liberal attitude with regard to mileage in the lap dance area.

The lap dance area has been described well in previous reviews. There is a long "hall" created by a solid partition along the wall between the DJ booth and the front desk at the entrance to the club. There is a desk in front of and below the DJ booth that is staffed on both shifts by the security guy who collects the $5 per song house fee for each lap dance. This is in addition to the standard $20 per song for your dancer. There is also a security camera monitor on the desk. Inside the hall there are about 10-12 booths with side walls that are about five feet high and extend about four feet out from the back wall. The bottom foot or so of each side wall is open much like a bathroom stall and you can see the feet of the booth's occupants, if there are any, on either side of yours. The back of each booth is the outer wall of the club. The opposite side of each booth is open, with another four feet or so to the wall separating the area from the rest of the club. Near the top of this wall on the ceiling there are several small camera domes spaced out so that each one appears to be able to see into two adjoining booths. The seating in each booth varies. Those on the end near where you enter next to the DJ booth have small, upholstered benches that are the width of the booth. A few are not quite as wide as the booth. The booths on the other end still have the older padded metal chairs. All of the booths have also have the same style padded metal chair for the dancer to use. Each booth has a small shelf built into one of the side partitions. You can use this to place your drink, phone, keys, etc. if you wish during your dance. At the far end of the hall there is a curtained entrance into the booth at the front door. During the night shift there is a door girl who collects the cover charge there. There is also a monitor screen for security cameras at this desk. Occasionally I have noticed a member of the security staff in the front desk area during day shift but normally not. It is much more common for one of the security staff to watch the monitors at the front desk during the evening shift. So although you have some privacy in the lap dance area, you can also be interrupted frequently. If you are getting a dance in one of the booths nearer the entrance everyone going to a booth further down will walk across the front of your booth. Unlike some clubs that only allow you to enter the lap dance area between songs, at Visions you and a dancer may enter at any point and find a booth and wait for the next song to begin. The security guy at the desk will also walk through occasionally. And of course the all seeing cameras above may or may not be monitored at any given time.

Lap dances are usually performed topless. Most of the dancers at Visions wear two bottoms on stage: usually a smaller thong covered by a slightly larger one. Some will wear both while giving lap dances. Others will take the outer one off if you request it. Most of the dancers on either shift will do a pretty good grind on your lap. Some will use their hands on you above the waist. Most, but not all, will allow two way touching above the waist. Some will tell you they allow you to touch "anywhere that isn't covered." Anything beyond that is strictly YMMV and getting harder to find than it once was. It is still possible to get dances at Visions that are some of the best in Huntsville and better than you can get at any club in many areas of the country. But it is not quite as uninhibited, especially on day shift, as it may have been in the past. I've been told a lot of dancers have lost their jobs for allowing things to go beyond the limits. Several times I have noticed dancers no longer working there shortly after reading a review here or at other sites that read something like "Dancer X took me back to the VIP and did this extra and that extra for $x and no one saw us or said anything." It appears that management is actively monitoring sites such as TUSCL and watching dancers mentioned in those kind of reviews even closer than normal. It also appears when a dancer and her patron are caught exceeding the rules, they wait until the end of the shift, or at least until the patron has left the club to call the dancer into the office and take disciplinary action. So if you are getting dances with a little extra mileage, spreading it all over the internet seems to be a sure way to put an end to it.
