I stopped by Lipstixx on a Tuesday afternoon, not expecting much. There was no cover charge and I figured a couple of expensive domestics (2 for 1, $8) would be fine on a hot afternoon. The place was so dark I almost tripped over some chairs just beyond the doorway. The club is fairly small compared to other NOLA clubs. There weren't any dancers working, just the doorman, a bartender, and a manager. The bartender was cute and friendly so I chatted with her for a while. At some point a dancer came downstairs and sat next to me, looking bored. We ended up talking about the business but it wasn't going anywhere.

Before I left I tried to use the bathroom. Bad idea. It was a grimy little Harry Potter closet under the stairs with no toilet paper, paper towels, and.. no toilet seat? Absolutely disgusting, ended up looking elsewhere. I can't comment on the quality of the dancers overall but the condition of the club is nasty, even by New Orleans standards. I'm pretty sure I know why they had the lights turned down so low.
