San Diego is certainly not a...

San Diego is certainly not a mecca for clubs (although I suspect there aren't any clubs in Mecca). Mostly the clubs there are funky, if not filthy, overpriced and filled with apathetic chunky dancers. Cheetahs is different. The great majority of the dancers are attractive and most are able to have a conversation, if you want. If you don't want one to have around, simply say so. Sometimes one will plop down and want to hang out til you get dances, but you can say you're wanting to see who's there and choose later. Rarely will one not take the hint, or not realize it's better fr them to let you chill. The recent remodeling is an improvement overall. the seating is less comfortable, but clean. The VIP rooms are very different - the regular one $20 per dance or 4 for 40 until 10- is open with no dividers and fairly well lit. The other on is darker and more private but you can see the pair across the narrow aisle. I have been told (and seen on the ceiling) that there are cameras in the VIP and the image is 'crystal clear'!

Keeping all that in mind, this is the best of the lot in SD
