Like an island in a vast sea of asphalt, Leather & Lace has somehow survived the total re-contouring of the highway it is on and every business around it. It now stands out like a sore eye on the side of the highway. It will be interesting to see how long that can continue. But inside, it is still a dark and dreary refuge from the glare of the street with a bored bunch of Dancers in the afternoon. Although this club shares the same management as several others, it always looks a bit sad in comparison. The concept should be simple, just put a crew of hot dancers in front of the nearby University audience. But somehow, this place never seeems to deliver the goods. Now it takes a road map to figure out how to get there just beyond the IKEA, Golden Corral and Wal-Mart. The Family Values crowd will probably make it the first example in a post DNC campaign.
