I went in on a Wednesday...
I went in on a Wednesday night a couple of weeks ago. There has been a lot of staff turnover since my review a few weeks ago. Many of the dancers either quit or got fired the first weekend of August. For the most part they were the ones who were a little too unattractive to be stripping in the first place. I didn't ask nor was I told what went down. There were quite a few girls there on the night I visited that were working either their first or second night at Fantasia, but most had danced other places and I enjoyed watching almost every dancer in the rotation on stage. I think a couple of the "new" girls had worked at Fantasia in the past, but not within the last couple of years. The only dancers I recognized that had been working before were Savannah and Bella. Of course it was Wednesday and there are probably a few others that were not scheduled that night. None of the day shift girls were still there when I arrived, but I was told the same thing had happened on day shift. The line up in terms of overall quality for a weeknight was the best I've seen at Fantasia in a long time.
Unfortunately, in terms of customers the place was dead. Of the few that were there, most weren't tipping much and very few were taking advantage of the opportunities upstairs in the private dance area. Let's hope the word gets out about the new dancers and business picks up a little before they move on.
It was a "buyers" market that night and I enjoyed my visit and stayed for most of the night shift. Pleasant conversation with several different dancers and a couple of VIPs. As one of the few who was tipping onstage regularly and one of the even fewer getting VIPs I wasn't sitting alone much of the time and 2 a.m. arrived before I was ready for it to. If they can keep this staff long enough for business to pick up a little Fantasia is definitely on the upswing.
