I visit the Byrd most weeks. The place is a bit tacky but, compared to the other strip clubs in the Lower Mainland there is more life here. The dancers can get more on stage tips here than almost anywhere except the No 5 orange and they tend to respond with a little more enthusiasm and effort.

The waitresses are friendly and the food is now excellent. But having said this I wouldn't recommend you making a special trip. The dancers average about a 7.5, unless you really, really like tattoos, and the private dances, although nude, are a relatively expensive disappointment ($40)if you like contact.

In a way, the Byrd is a throwback to the old blue collar strip clubs that have mostly disappeared in this area now. There is something a bit nostalgic about this but it just doesn't seem very sexy any more. From time to time the regulars get an ice bucket from the bar and tip the dancers who they know will go a little bit across the dancing/porn line. Then it gets a bit hotter.
