I visited the Showcase Theater last...

I visited the Showcase Theater last Saturday night at around 8:30pm. I was a bit worried that I was going to have trouble finding it in this industrial part of Beltsville, but the sign saying “Strip Club Open” that was standing on the side of the road in front of the club helpfully pointed the way into the fenced-off parking lot. Cover was $20 and there was no mention of a membership fee, despite what it says on their web site.

When I walked in I saw immediately that the club lived up to its “Theater” name. There was a long and narrow stage running the length of one wall and four rows of seats all pointing towards it in a “theater” style arrangement (albeit a small theater). There was a juice bar (it is BYOB) and a small room for the DJ at the far end, together with a short hall to the restrooms and VIP area. You can apparently bring your own drinks into the club Sun-Thu, but need to leave them in your car on Sat & Sun and take a plastic cup out for refills (the cup is supplied by the bar).

There were only two girls and no other customers when I arrived, but there were about a dozen girls and perhaps the same number of customers when I left at 10:00pm. At that point it felt busy due to the relatively small size of the room. The stage show didn't start until 9:00pm and the first couple of dancers didn't strip. Later on, they started to get nude on stage.
