From downtown SanDiego take the "Blue Line" until it ends (about 30 min). Follow the crowd across the highway and through the turnstiles and wha-la, you're in Tijuana. From here catch a cab (7 bucks to Adelita). It is really that easy. The blue line is 5 bucks (round trip). The latest time it leaves TJ is 1am on Saturday night/ Sunday morning. So you can't party too late and still make it back to SanDiego without taking a cab (which are available). The Blue line starts up again at 4am so I guess you could party real late and still have it work for you. Anyway, I was by myself and felt very safe going both direction late at night.
Saturday night at about 10pm the club was packed. A host of guys stood outside the club watching the girls come down from the hotel rooms. I thought that was pretty strange. Maybe they thought that they could get an idea of which girls were good by the expression on the guys face leaving the hotel. I really don't know.
No cover charge and 2.75 beers. Nice. The club was packed. There is a small dance stage when you enter but that seemed to be reserved for potential customers and their girl. There were many small tables that were all full. There seemed to be an endless conga line of guys viewing the girls. The girls would be spread out in groups of two or three and wait for a guy to approach them. They want you to take them to the hotel room for between 40-60 dollars for 1/2 hour. Make no mistake this is not a strip club. This is a Mexican Brothel. I didn't see any lap dances or any other dancing for that matter. There was not a stage show and no real nudity in the club at all. The girls ranged from 6-8 mostly with an occasional 9. I'm too much of a coward to partake in the full deal (too much work for 10 seconds of fun) so I had a couple of beers and then headed out to "Revolution Street". I heard from some guys that the Chicago Club had better looking women. The downside to that club was said to be the lack of a bar type atmosphere. It was simply, get a girl and go up to a room. Whatever happened to forplay (ha)?
For the record I would have given Adelita a lower score on the premise that it is a strip joint (low 7) but because I get the idea that everyone know what the place is all about I didn't want to drag it down.
