This club is quite different from...

This club is quite different from most that I have been to. I checked them out on a Thursday afternoon, driving up from Northern Virginia. First of all the club is part of an adult bookstore. Typical to some urban adult areas of entertainment there is privacy fencing in the parking lot (doesn't do much good, because if you park in the back you are looking into a family's front yard!). The club must have been a little slow because a few of the dancers (in bikinis) were in the main store. You pay the cashier $10 for the entry and they ask if you want any $1 bills since there is no actual change machine in the club. Well the club itself takes up 1/3 of the store's actual space. It's pretty small with a stage in the corner and a few booths against the walls. Some folks said that there is a juice bar, not true, there is an overpriced vending machine with bottled water and combo pretzels (yuck!). I was the only patron in at first and there was a dancer lazing about on the stage. She did her thing and eventually got full nude - I gave her a tip and she then went back into the changing room. Now I'm sitting in the club by myself wondering, "ok? now what?" Well eventually another dancer came on and the scenario was repeated. I eventually realized you have to actually ask for dances. So while you tip a gal on stage, you mention you'd like dance, she heads back to the changing room and comes out and takes you to one of the open booths. I tried asking how much a dance was, but here's where it gets even more sketchy, you are told to tip the girl and then she dances based on the tip (I'm still not sure if it's supposed to be all inclusive, or if you are supposed to further tip after the set is done). The booth-dances are topless (the stage dances go to full nude). Yeah, the booths are out in the open, what's even weirder is a couple of the booths are visible from the door, so when anyone enters or exits, all the people in the store can see the guy in that booth getting a dance from a topless chick (talk about exhibitionist!). Now I did eventually overhear that the night shift was pretty decent, but the day shift dancers had two very obvious characteristics: Age and Weight. That isn't to say some of the dances were enthusiastic, but if you're looking for eye-candy check somewhere else. There was one dancer in her 40's and quite plump named Seattle who gave great dances and liked to talk dirty, but the only time you'd get any chitchat was when you were getting a dance, otherwise all the dancers would hide out in their changing room. So what is the final prognosis? I'm used to going to West Virginia where you can actually get drinks, sometimes get food and share a meal and talk with a hottie, in WV you can see some good eye candy, but get some rather lame bikini dances - the difference here? more of a drive, zero food, zero chatting, some okay dances with the tops off, and it seems like you get more dance time for your dollar. I doubt I'll be visiting Adult World again any time soon unless I'm in the actual area.
