On a quest to find a...

On a quest to find a decent home-town strip club that's actually close to home had me walk into this dump and boy was this a waste of time. I walked in and should have walked right out. There were no dancers dancing and one girl was sitting at the bar working a pair of customers. It had a very large stage and mirrored wall, and a secondary stage, but both were empty, so what's the point? I checked my watch to see if it was really Friday. I wondered if I was in the middle of a shift change so I got a drink and tried to make the most of it. At least the bartender was cute. I caught a glimpse of a girl exiting a distant room (bathroom? locker room?) nude and I started paying attention again but she ran back in. She would later come out fully dressed and work the bar.

Just to keep track, there were four patrons not counting myself, one dancer, DJ, two security (or just loitering) employees, one slightly better dressed employee (manager?), and two bartenders. Almost 2:1 employees to patrons. Actually, it was exactly 8:4 because I excused myself to the bathroom and there was a bathroom attendant. The bathroom was also a wreck, the toilet was gushing water and, while I don't like bathroom attendants, this one didn't even actually help me wash my hands.

After that, I tried to leave the way I came in but the door was shuttered closed from the outside. The same door marked with "this door is to remain unlocked during business hours". I went out through the front and the gorilla told me there was a five dollar cover I was supposed to pay. Outnumbered by a bunch of folks each weighing twice what I do, I paid and got out of there.

All in all, I have no idea why it's open because it can't possibly be making enough money to keep that much staff on hand. Maybe it's a BYOS (bring your own stripper) type of place? What a joke, they should sell the place to someone that knows how to run a strip joint.
