I was in Austin for like a 5 months period and during this time I practically visited all of the area's strip clubs. Palazio was actually one of my favorites because of many things: location, consistent girl quality, cleanliness, environment and sense of safety.

Other clubs I visited were shady, smelly or looked like if you were going to get robbed any minute.

I can't say that it is cheap though. It has one of the highest covers and dance value of most, but that I guess pays for the girl quality I guess. Not all girls are 10s, actually all of them would range from 9-7 with some exceptions of 5-6s.

I would sit around (when place wasn't packed) and ask for a beer and sit to see the dances. Girls would usually come ask to sit around (not all girls would approach you, some wouldn't have nice attitude) and some would even stay chatting even of you didn't buy a drink for them. If asked for a dance and you say no they would just just be polite and tell you good night and leave, no pushing.

Dances at $20 usually at the chairs that are at the perimeter, decent level of freedom, if the girl liked you you could even do some amount of touching (even breast licking) without security having you kicked out, although you had to be discrete. The VIP area is very expensive and never went there. I missed having an "intermediate" level area where you could have some intimacy with the girl for the dances at least. One of them even offered me to go with her and some friend after their shift but said I had to pay like $300 to the guys at the bar. NO Way. One day one girl asked me if I had drugs with me hehe.
