Sapphire NYC took over the East...
Sapphire NYC took over the East Side location of the late original Scores, so it's geographically set apart from the bulk of the Manhattan clubs. Still it is at the edge of a neighborhood rich in mainstream bars and restaurants so you are not going way out of your way, it's two long crosstown blocks from the Lexington/59th subway stop.
I did a midweek early evening visit, checking it out at a slower time. Yet even in such a slow night, the talent was mighty fine - very hot dancers; lots of enhanced bustlines, but generally well managed. (BTW the waitress outfits are quite distracting pushup bustiers) The slow pace of the night helped also in that there was no wannadance-wannadance-wannadance rush, the girls brought in more of the conversation hustle. The makeup of the dancer corps was distinct from what I'd become used to at many other Manhattan clubs, with a lot fewer Eastern Europeans and a lot more All-American gals, which helped even more since you can actually have a sensible conversation while figuring if you will take her for a dance. The main floor lap dances are Manhattan clean but the dancers that approached me were able to make it quite sensuous all the same and give some good close grinds, no complaint there if you know what the drill is in NY (just let HER take the initiative). If you want to check out some good looking gals and take a couple of lap dances in a posh setting, with attentive staffers and managers, this is a good choice in the City.
The Manhattan lap dance across all venues holds firm at $20 a spin which in this market has lasted surprisingly long; the song duration was reasonable and the ladies wait for the next track to begin. Did not even seek out the Private Room rate, since in a Manhattan club you'd need way too many drinks in you to not gasp at the quote, and mixed drinks here run at an impressive-even-for-a-NY-stripjoint $19 for a G&T.
