It's been a while since my last visit to Score's and I was really fired up about the chance to get back to my favorite club in New Orleans. It's almost "Groundhog Day" but, in a pleasant way each time I go to Score's..

Where to start? Well it "feels" clean, not like most of the other bars on Bourbon, the dancers are attractive and attentive and the drinks are served with enough alcohol, but not heavy handed in an effort to loosen you up. Warning here..the drinks do cost more than a normal club, but I don't mind that..I feel "safer" here and always notice that the normal miscreants who frequent most other Bourbon street clubs seem to avoid this place a little more. The dancers can carry on a conversation and even though I'm an older gent, their tats don't seem as much a distraction once a solid conversation can be established.

I normally head right to the bar (which is right there when you enter the door) and have a couple of drinks to survey the club. It's a pretty confined space, much longer than it is wide, typical New Orleans..kinda like a shotgun house.
