Went to the Crop on a recent Friday evening at about 7 pm. Mixed crowd, fairly blue collar, with a few girls in the audience (pretty common). The Acropolis is pretty much always the same--cheap cold drinks, dancers ranging from acceptable to very hot, and a run-down, feels-like-a-dive (because it is) atmosphere. Rarely tops the list anymore in terms of dancer quality or experience, but it's never bad, either. No hustle for private dances here--girls make their money selling the fantasy at the rail, and they're pretty damned good at it. I'll be back on my next tour of Portland clubs.
