I went to Cabaret of Corpus...

I went to Cabaret of Corpus Christi Wednesday, 3/9/05 3-9pm for the first time. There was no cover and longnecks were $2.50, then later they might have gone up to $3.00. Coca-Cola was $2.50 a glass, but sometimes free with a big waitress tip. The non-alcoholic drinks were free for the girls. Dance and drink pricing was confusing enough to make you feel like you were being taken advantage of. There was a 2 drink minimum sign at the door. The day shift dances were $10 each and $20 each later in the evening. The dance price seemed to be up to the girls during the day, but at night it was $20. The dances were contact dances with some grinding. There were about 7 dancers working all about 7’s. Only one of the 3 stages was being used until about 5pm, then 2 stages at 7pm and 3 stages at 8 pm. The walls have mirrors above couches. Normally the girls take a lap customer to the couches from their seats in the middle of the club. The dollar stage tips were very popular with some guys going in groups to the stage. The girls gave dollar shows a little longer and more contact than is the norm for Austin & SA clubs. They also walked off stage with plenty of dollars and the guys standing waiting to tip blocked the stage show very often. Sometimes the girls never danced without someone waiting to tip. One time a girl had 6 guys waiting around the stage. I came back the next night Thursday 7pm-10PM especially for the small cute oriental spinners grinding. Earlier I called to confirm the confusing private dance prices and was quoted $20 on the phone. The night girls were better looking, from 8-9 range and the dances were hotter. There must have been about 14 girls. Later I was told of the VIP, which is on your right as you come into the club. I did not try it out. The girl said the price was $25 to get in and dances were still $20 each in VIP. The club seemed to be laid back with no hustling by the girls at all and medium waitress drink pushing. The interior is not too dark and the exterior looked better than the two clubs on the same street down South one mile. The dancer shift change is at 8pm. The girl said she pays $15 to dance and more on night shift. The AC is cold and the ceiling fans disperse the smoke. A lot of blue collar workers. The men’s restroom was adequately clean with marble-like walls. The girls dressing room must be excellent since many of the girls stayed so long. I only saw one girl with implants and just three wishing they had them. Next time I am in Corpus I will stop by in the evening and check it out again.
