In case your haven't heard Follies...
In case your haven't heard Follies got raided on June 30. They came in late in the afternoon and everyone in the place was detained until 8PM. I had two of my fellow TUSCLers in the club at the time. Between them and talking to a couple of favorites, I pieced this together. Two of the cops wore ski masks. They were appartently the undercover cops that were casing the place. 12-15 dancers got busted for license violations. Dancers in Dekalb County must posess a valid license. They cost $300/year and must pass the back ground check. Those dancers that had expiered licenses were given a warning. Those with no license were cited. 3 dancers were taken into custody for alleged drug or prostitution charges. No customers were affected. Too bad the raid was not conducted by ICE. They could have cleaned out the place checking for green cards.
So how has this affected the operation now? It is pretty much back to normal. From a couple of PMs from my buddies and my personal inspection today, I would say that business is down slightly. I would say that today at least, the number of dancers was way down from normal for a Saturday afternoon. Table dances are still being done with high contact but some dancers are wary of customers that they do not know. I did a VIP session with one of my favorites and it was all I could have wanted.
So will it happen again? Who knows? Lets just hope not. I have been having a lot of fun here for a couple of years and hope it goes on.
