I visit this place on a Friday evening just because I was driving by. The place has a new name now which is Golddiggers. I haven't been inside this club since it was the Brass Key back in the day and it has changed a lot since then. The club is located on Livernois in a neighborhood. The neighborhood is more ruff than the one clubs on 8 mile but they had valet for those who feel uneasy parking on the street. I don't know how much valet will set you back but I parked on the side street for free. There was only a $5 cover charge to get in and when you walk in the stage is placed in the center of the bar surrounded by booths which cost (probably $20-50 typical strip club setup, but on the north side of the wall there are big booth, but then there is a little nook with bar stools. I believe that behind the nook is where lap dances are given because I saw a couple of customers get lap dance in that area. The bar is on the east side of the wall.
The women were actually impressive that night. The dancers range from 6-8 and there were a couple of 8's. There was one dancer I would give a 9 she seemed mature for her age. There were about 10 dancers on duty that night and they were slow to come out. All of them were African American, but there were some ladies that came in that were latin and one was white but they never came out, so I don't know if they were dancers. I sat with a pretty girl named sorority. She had a nice slim body and was very nice. She did not pressure me for dances, but there was no one in the club at that time. The girls did three songs on stage and came off the stage. This place used to be known for big buts and big guts but I have to say, I did not see any big guts that night.
The place was slow and I believe I was the first customer in the place at about 830p.m. That night they were giving a party for a gang member who died I believe 15 years ago, this came from a dancer. I had a few beers which were $5. It started to pick up around 11pm. The crowd is young and needless to say gangsta. The music was typical Detroit Strip club music. I saw a VIP room but it was a glass room that look like it could sit several people with two couches. I didn't look in because the bouncers were eating food in there. A
I probably will not be back at this club for a few more years, it just doesn't have what I'm looking for. The girls were nice, the music typical, but no private VIP dancing area.
