So Rock-Za was...
So Rock-Za was on my list of clubs to hit while in town and decided to see if the experience was better then Club Femme Nu. Sad to say it was about the same. Went in about 11:30 PM, was a $7 admission, usual one free drink. Sat at the larger back stage, since the front stage seemed to be pretty full. Single dancer at the back stage about a 7, was with some guys at the other side of the stage. Got my free with admission drink and just watched the show. Same set up as Femme Nu with dancers on pillows in front of customers. After six songs and she had not moved from in front of the other guys, I went to sit at the long curved seating area to the right as you walked in. It overlooked the front main stage which still had several ladies up. I counted about 9 dancers on this Tuesday with about 15 customers.
After a while a girl comes up and sits down beside me and starts to chit-chat. She was not dressed like a dancer, more like someone just stopped in from the near by Ala Moana shopping center a block away. Some talking and she asked if I would buy her a drink a I said if not too much. She got a waitress to come over and was informed the drink for the lady was $40. I politely declined that price drink. She then asked if I wanted a lap dance. What s switch?
The place is small compared to Femme Nu and the dancers rated about the same, 5-8 range. None were really a stand out. After two drinks I decided I would see some better ladies walking the street here due to the RIMPAC exercise that the Navy was having this week. Club itself looked dated about 15 years, but I guess as long as the theme is okay for the other clubs everyone will stay as they are.
I would probably not want to make a second trip to Rock-Za until I hear that the format has changed.
