Ritz Cabaret has been promoting their Monday night halfprice events. Half off drinks, half off dances, rooms, etc. So, I figured I'd try them out on Monday nights. Arrived the first time around 5:30. They claim to open at 4 PM. No dancers. Several sailors in town for Sailing Event. Eventually one dancer showed up. That was about 6:30. Rest started sauntering in around 8 or later. Half off lasts only until 10 PM. So, it really is two hours of half off and the quality is not great. Beers were sold at $4 each.

Following week I try again, thinking maybe I hit a bad night. This time, I show up around 8 PM, there were very few dancers and even less customers. Those dancers there are somewhat aggressive, with strong interpersonal skills displayed bar or seat side. Some of the lapdances were hands on, others very tame. Depending on the dancer, the familiarity levels were significantly different. Some charged $20 for the topless lap; others included topless for $15. Naturally, the "real price" isn't disclosed until you're sitting upstairs in the appropriate area.

OK, I figured,I'll try a week night. Same level of dancers, same quality of dances, but twice as much each and the beer that was half off for $4 is now regular priced at $6. No rhyme or reason to the blonde barmaids pricing policy except that she can get away with it. The nicest employee is Mary at the front door who collects the $10 admittance fee. That can be avoided by going to their web site and printing a FREE PASS. That makes the cover charge go away.
