Found the 'Free admission' coupon on...

Found the 'Free admission' coupon on the website, and figured what the heck? It isn't really free as the admission is $10 (covered with the pass) and you have to pay a $5 drink fee. Either way, $5 is average for the motor city, and they let you keep your coat instead of charging the $1-$2 that everyone else charges. One misleading thing about the info on this club. It says ethnicity 'mixed' but unless you mean a mix of 'light' black girls and 'dark' black girls, make no mistake, this is a 'Black' club. All the dancers were black, all the staff was black and except for me, the clientel was black. That having been said, other than a few minutes of uncomfortablity when we(I went with a buddy...that might be a good idea for the 'hood' it is in) first sat down as we were the only 2 white people in the place. If you would be uncomfortable in this type of situation(being the minority...big time!), do not go to Deja Vu HP. If you are a white guy, black guy or purple guy who likes a good club and some nice dances...keep reading!

THE CLUB: 7

Nice enough layout. Seating around the stage either in pervert row, or in a surrounding circle of chairs up against the outer walls. Tables about ever 3rd chair. This looks like a strip club should look, black lights and neon, lots of velvet chairs and carpet. They also had porno playing on 2 plasmas on the walls, something I've only seen at one other club which was also a primarily black club(I guess no white guys except me like porn). Dark, but not pitch black so you can't see the dancers and where you are walking. The unlimited drinks(no booze) are served up at a bar right by the door and as far as I saw, there was no wait staff, just the girl who took the cover charge who also poured the sodys. A couple of huge bouncers rounded out the staff and we did get frisked at the door, but it wasn't a cavity search and I didn't feel inconvienced by it. I heard from one of the girls that on Thursday, Friday and Saturday the club is open to 5AM and that Thursday is $10 thursday where all the dances are a ten spot all night long.
