I went to Curves after stopping...

I went to Curves after stopping by the only other strip club on Staten Island, Lipstick, only to find it closed. Curves seems like it's out in the boonies, though it's not -- just a semi-isolated industrial area. (Lots of security in the parking lot, though -- not to worry.) The inside of the club is very clean. The bar was a little chaotic, which accounted for how slow the service was. They have 2 or 3 girls dancing on the stage in the middle, around which the bar runs, and after their requisite 3-song tour on stage the girls go around inside the bar collecting dollar bills from customers. About the girls: mostly Russians, though not all; no silicone, at least on the night I was there, and no really large-breasted girls either. All fairly young (low to mid-20s), all moderately but not overpoweringly attractive (though none of them ugly by any means). Very businesslike -- disconcertingly so, especially when you've got one of them skilfully grinding away on your lap in the open lapdance area. Can't fault 'em for trying to make a living, but it would be nice if they put at least a modicum of effort into creating an illusion of passion, romance, dirty filthy uncontrollable horniness, or what have you. The word that comes to mind is "clinical." Will I go back? Hard to say. It is, after all, the only strip club on Staten Island -- but there are some amazing clubs just over the bridges in New Jersey, so it's a matter of choosing between close and clinical, or a bit further away and a lot hotter for the do-re-mi. You get my drift.
