This used to be my local haunt, and for good reason: the Sands is still the most consistent, most bang-for-your-buck strip club in the Seattle/Tacoma area bar none. I'm not sure how they do it, but the Sands seems to have a steady stream of above-average dancers who aren't afraid to go the extra mileage for their customers. Even with the recent turnover in talent, the Sands still has the best private dancers around. And their VIP section is the best in town: plush, dark and fun.

Some caveats: The VIP area is a bit pricier than some at $40 a dance; most dancers are worth the extra - occasionally you'll get a dud, but it's rarer at the Sands than other clubs. Also, the "dancer drink" pressure is higher here than other places -- but I've never been made to feel I couldn't say 'no, thanks.' Finally, there's rarely a stage show (especially in the afternoon), so if the VIP section is hopping, you could be waiting for a while with nothing to do. (The pool table does come in handy for this.)

Big tip (and this probably works for most clubs, but especially a small club like the Sands): become a regular. The dancers may be wary of you the first couple of times -- but once they know you and trust/like you, you're in for a good time.
