I've made several visits to Cheaters...

I've made several visits to Cheaters since I last reviewed the club six months ago, so this is more of a summary review, although I have dropped in a few times this month. Cheaters used to be my favorite place on the Space Coast, but recently the dancer quality has nose dived. For the past year, I have gone to Cheaters mainly to spend time with a favorite, who disappeared a few months ago, so maybe the changes have been ongoing and I just recently noticed them. With only a couple of exceptions, the fun, door-next door girls of the past are all gone, replaced by some marginal-looking dancers, some rather heavy and worn, and a lot of the new girls are black. One thing I always liked about this place was the variety, but now it's trending toward the trailer park on one end, black on the other, and not much in the middle. Most dancers seem brand new, some seem very nervous, and more than a few seem very uncomfortable, both on the stage and in the couch room. There are still a few gems, but they are harder to find. Of the new additions, a couple of the black girls are the best looking and have the best attitudes. In addition, the club seems to be attracting a younger crowd, so there is less of the local-neighborhood bar vibe that I liked. The staff is still friendly, and most of the girls are pleasant enough. But not many interest me enough to even consider getting a dance.

Dances are still $20 per song, in a large room with couches along the walls. Most girls will let your hands roam on anything that isn't covered (dances are topless), but I've had a few ask me not to touch their breasts. You'll get less of a hassle - from both the bouncers and the waitresses pestering you for drinks - if it's not crowded and there are only a few couples in the room. If it's crowed, expect a bouncer to occasionally wander through. Once a bouncer told my dancer to get her feet back on the floor when she was across my lap. If you are in there for more than a few songs when it's crowded, expect a waitress to interrupt you and ask if you want a drink. I've never been offered extras here, but I have occasionally been approached with take out propositions.

The silicone-painted-on-the-nipples thing is still going on, but apparently isn't being heavily enforced. Some of the girls weren't wearing it. I asked a couple why, and one said that it had come off earlier, while another said she doesn't put it on any more. This must be a Cocoa Beach thing, as a short hop up the road at Lido Cabaret (which is technically in Cape Canaveral) I saw no covered nipples.
