I found myself drawn back to the Ye Ole Wagonwheel once more while returning home from work along the Rt. 40 Honky-Tonk...hoping for another great time like I had on my birthday some 8 months ago.

First thing I notice is a sign on the door announcing that the club will no longer be open on Mondays after the first week in July. So, while it's still one of the few non-Block dives with Sunday hours, they are giving the girls Mon. off now.

Walking in, I can see why. Barely 6-8 girls there, and few patrons. Only one stage was being used - the very slowest I've ever seen it there.

"Well then," says I, "this is good for me - more time with the femmes!"

Not so.
