I stopped in at Les Girls...

I stopped in at Les Girls on another business trip to Tempe and got a different, but not better, impression than my previous visit (12/29/03 review below). The club was busy, almost crowded, and too loud, even by strip club standards. As other reviews have mentioned, in addition to the cover charge, there is an immediate, 2 (expensive) drink charge, so its hard to start with a real positive attitude. I found the whole atmosphere very “frat boy” or blue collar - loud music, lots of “hootin-n-hollerin” by the boys, very mechanical, not sensuous, dancing by the, mostly not very pretty, girls. There is a lap dance area with built-in couches along the front wall. But there is absolute no privacy at all for lap dances- this area is the most brightly lit in the whole club, and the couches face directly into the rest of the club. Not surprisingly, the couches were nearly empty while I was there, and the off-stage dancers seemed to have little interest in promoting lap dances. IMHO, not particularly a good place at the end of a long day to enjoy unclothed females. There are better places in Phoenix/Tempe.
