This is a Dancer review intended for dancers considering working at Deja Vu Hollywood.

Auditions are held nightly. I would recommend arriving before 9. This is not a good club for girls without dancing experience. If you're hired you will be given a ton of papers to read and sign. Some of these are tax related so you will receive a W2. You are given the option to become a Deja Vu employee instead of an independent contractor if you wish. If you wish to do so you must regularly meet their terms and conditions such as lapdance quotas. Most girls choose to remain independent but you'll have to decide for yourself .

Despite their policies, it's not uncommon to see girls doing inappropriate acts. I personally witnessed a dancer allowing a customer to finger her in the VIP area. If you are upset by this type of behavior I would recommend another club. The staff is unprofessional so be prepared to harassed by management and security for sex. Overall avoid this club if you don't know how to handle these situations .

Business wise the club is decent. It's rarely empty but never full. The dances are 20 dollars but the club takes 8 of it. They offer 2 for 1 specials once an hour and one dollar tabledances at random . You are not allowed to touch the lapdance money. It must be handed to an attendant by the customer in advance. If you are going to do multiple dances the customer must pay for them all before you begin or you must stop after each song to see the attendant. They offer 30 minute VIP sessions for 150 and the house takes 40%. With these payouts you will still make money but you'll have to do a lot more work than at other clubs.

You are required to work a few scheduled shifts a week and you must work at least 6 hours on any other days you choose to work. You collect your cut of the money from lapdances when you leave. Keep track of how much you're owed because they will try to short you. The only tip out you do is to the DJ. There is no set amount but 10% is always a safe bet. Overall I would not recommend working for this club.
