FYI, presently the dancers at Mardi Gras go off stage and they shut the music off at 1 AM, but the club is open and they still serve alcohol until 2 AM. This is apparently a result of changes to local ordinances pertaining to entertainment licenses. Clubs can apply for a special late night entertainment permit, but few have been issued and the Gras apparently does not have one. There is also apparently now talk of simply requiring all clubs to close at 1 AM. Downtown club owners are fighting the City in court, but for now be aware of this.
