We hadn't planned on checking out DV8, but were on the way to Devil's point (which is close by), saw it and figured why not. They advertise as a neighborhood bar with strippers, and it certainly has that vibe. But unlike say Magic Gardens or Hawthorne Strip, this place is spacious. Not so much a dive bar as a low key club , almost like a smallish converted music venue. Not much in the way of decor or feel, just your standard bar. One large area with smaller stages interspersed. Even the 'main' stage wasn't particularly large. The bartender was pleasant, which is always a good start. The stage we sat at was fairly small, square, seating maybe a dozen folks at the rail around the stage. (there were only 5 this night). The girls on shift that night varied, some were skinny, some more curvaceous, some tattoos, some not. A good variety, though none were knockouts per se, certainly entertaining enough. It was fairly slow for a Friday, maybe 12 people in the joint, probably 6 or 7 girls on shift. We got decent attention at the rail tipping fairly normally (few bucks per dance), though no crazy contact or anything like that. They do respond to girls, speaking of which, I also liked that even though it had the 'neighborhood' feel, there were women there, it wasn't a sausage fest. The private dance areas are sectioned off behind a curtain, though you can see through the curtain. We didn't get a private dance, so I can't comment on them, but they seemed pretty standard, as always, YMMV. I'd go back, but not a place I'd go for a wild night, more like a place to go hang out, have a beer and watch/interact with the girls in a more relaxed setting.
