This is the first time I've been to Michigan since last September. Therefore, it's the first time I've been to Players since the remodeling. I will forego the physical description, so well done by previous posters. Actually, I went twice, both times in the afternoon, on Tuesday and Wednesday. I'm still deciding whether I like the new regime or not. It seems to be a little darker. It is a little pricier at $25 a song, just like the parent clubs. It seems that there is a $10 charge, as noted by a previous poster, to get into the dance areas. But that applies, as I was told, only to the night shift. Afternoons are free on that score. There was a $3 beer special when I was there, which I took advantage of, so I'm not sure about drink prices in general. On Tuesday, I did not have a very good time. I recognized a couple of the dancers that have been there a while, but mostly there were new faces. Mostly old "new faces." I was accosted at my table, right near the two stage areas in the back, by an old pro, who put it right to me, asking if I ever did "anything" when I had dances. I hemmed and hawed, because I really didn't want to do "anything" with her. She had a few hash marks on her and a very business-like attitude about it. She promptly left. As I looked around, I could not see many prospects. Maybe one. It was like the Players of old with the girls sitting by themselves or talking to regulars. So I left to travel west on 8 Mile. The next day, I returned. Things looked a bit better. I had a rather nothing dance with a young blonde spinner. And later a girl named K...a

came to my table. She was young, slender, pretty cute. I took her back and got some dances like the good old days: fun, interactive, enthusiastic, and I left happy, which is what she promised. Two visits probably are not enough to give the whole picture, but I definitely will be back. Players has always been up and down for me anyway.
