Sapphire is one of the best known clubs in Vegas, so I decided to check out what the hype was all about. Sadly, I was let down. As expected, the club itself is quite large and feels clean and upscale. There is plenty of seating as well as several private or semi-private areas. However, you will have to put up with a lot of smoke--even in "private" rooms--if you go during a busy time. I personally found this unpleasant as there are other clubs in Vegas and outside Vegas with little to no smoking.

When I visited, there were a lot of dancers on shift. Quality was high, though not the highest I've seen in Vegas. I've been to 3 clubs in Vegas, and one downside here was that some of the girls were really pushy. As one example, I had two that offered me a dance and when I politely declined they started unbuttoning my shirt and got angry when I said no again. Luckily, I found a girl that I really liked and we spent a couple of hours in a private room. That really saved the night for me.

Unfortunately, the story did not end there. Here is why I am never going back: a "host" robbed me. First, I don't understand his sense of entitlement. He wanted a tip every time I signed anything. I'm sorry, the girls are doing all the work and they should get the credit, not you. Still, I tipped him a minimum of $40 every time I signed a credit card bill. Apparently, that wasn’t enough for him, so he decided to rob me instead. He came to me while I was with my girl and asked if I’d like to extend. I said yes. I signed the receipt, provided my thumb print, and thought it was over. He came back claiming that my credit card was declined, which I know sometimes happens due to overzealous fraud prevention systems. I gave him another card. He claimed it was declined, too. I had to go outside and call one of my banks which said there was nothing wrong. I tried a couple more times until it supposedly went through
