I write this with a heavy heart; a Lawrence tradition appears to be dead. Flamingo Club has taken a serious turn for the worse. I've been going to "the bird" for literally decades...always a comfortable atmosphere, nice mix of cute and friendly girls, good drinks, etc. Not the case anymore, with exception of good drink service - I had a lousy time last time I went. NO, in fact I do NOT want you to suck my dick! How many times do I have to say no? What happened to the "gentleman's club" concept - I treat the girls with respect AND generosity and usually receive the same in return. That's how I thought a successful club operated. I have a soft spot for Flamingo and can recall many fun times with my friends there. I have only a small hope they can return it to it's former glory as a nice neighborhood strip club from the sleazy ripoff joint it is at the moment. Come on mgmt, there's a lot of history and memories at the bird and it could be good again if you are willing to do the right thing.
