I've been here twice recently and had a great time on both occasions. One time was early evening on a Thursday, and the other was lunch on Friday.

My first comment is that this place is a terrific bargain. There was no cover either time, beers are about $5, burgers (pretty decent) are cheap, and dances are only $10. This may be in line with the New Mexico market, but is quite a good deal by national standards.

On your way in you'll be wanded with a metal detector by a bouncer. This isn't a sign of the inside, though, as it seems pretty typically safe to me.
