I went late on a Thursday...

I went late on a Thursday night that was otherwise busy all over town. So it was a little disappointing to see a light crowd, but then that simply left more for me! This club appears to be relatively new and clean. I would love to say how friendly the staff was upon entry except they happened to be in the process of ousting a drunken rulebreaker at the door as I went in.... First reminder that things are different in the UK is the one about you can look but you can't touch (here they really mean it). Im sure this guy being wasted didnt help his case any. The entry and interior is very high end, along the lines of the Speriment Rhino on the other side of town.

I wouldnt be surprised if they werent setting themselves up to compete with the likes of Rhino or Stringfellow's, but they would have a long way to go to push two of the kings off the hill. The next reminder that things are different is the cover. Considerring the average exchange rate of dollars per pound (no pun) is around 1.58, 15 british pounds is about $24 bucks! Ouch! (Keep this in mind for those 20 pound lapdances). I was told there is a discount coupon for the cover, but I didnt have one and unlike some places they didnt offer it. But you may try going to the website to see if there is one to ease the entry price.

Several clubs in England are simple pubs where waitresses are topless and maybe do a stage dance then pass the mug for tips (1 British Pound is a coin). Some dancers give lapdances and pass the beer mug and you drop in a pound, no real private dances, just conversation between dances. This was a good old lapdance spot, just like home. There is stage dancing, lap dances, VIP, and the Champange Room. There girls are above average, good looking and really nice, but I didnt notice any smoking hot, "worth getting kicked out" stars on this night. The DJ was playing mostly euro - strip club music with some American pop infused, but nothing hard core. Several girls made approaches and a few made small talk, but I didnt pull the trigger on a 40 pound dance, sorry. Escpecially knowing the mileage would be low.
