I hadn't been to the Block...

I hadn't been to the Block in two years. I decided to start with the legendary Norma Jean's which I hadn't visited in the past. Admittedly, it was only 8:00 pm, but the place was dead. Very few customers, very few dancers and the DJ was still trying to get the music going. Still, I had to buy a drink and one for Brown Sugar. We went for a dance, which was strictly an air dance, with a visit from the bouncer.

I expect it gets better later, but I was not in a position to be a night owl. I bailed out.
