I used to visit the Blue...

I used to visit the Blue Moon every now and then, so I decided to check out The Club on a recent Saturday night to see what's different, and what's the same. Cover (after 6pm) was $5, and beers were $4. The stage and bar have been re-built with a nice granite counter, but the floor plan is basically the same as it used to be -- with maybe a few less tables packed in. It's still very dimly lit. There was only one TV tuned to a ballgame, instead of the three large screens that Blue Moon had going. The waitresses were attentive, friendly, and wore costumes that were as sexy as some of the dancers'.

There were probably only 8-10 patrons when I came in at 7pm, but it grew to more than 20 a little later. There were 6-8 dancers when I got there, but several ore came in at 8pm and most of the rest stayed, so there must have been 10-12. In any case, I didn't see any repeats on stage until I had been there for close to 2 hours. There were usually not more than 5 or 6 dancers in the bar area at a time, though, and they mostly stayed at the bar rather than walking around offering dances.

I recognized one dancer who was a regular at the Blue Moon (Samantha). A couple of others might have been, but I guess if they weren't memorable enough for me to be sure. Dancers ranged from a young but out of shape 5 to a couple of 9s. They were mostly white, with one black and no Asians or Hispanics that particular night. One girl was excessively tattooed, but otherwise would have been a 10. If you're into big boobs, you'd disagree with my ratings.
