Stopped by Saturday night, had been 7 or 8 months, wanted to see if Skybox had finally bottomed out and was on the rebound but it's only gotten worse. This place has just gone to the ghetto, the trailer trash that you see here is about as poor of quality as it gets. I couldn't believe the unsightly things they put on stage here they must recruit these women from homeless and substance abuse centers in the worse parts of the south side of Chicago.
Anyone that was a regular here several years ago and that had visited the Skybox recently knows what I'm talking about. I waited about 45 minutes until something actually half way decent came on stage then I walked over and sat down for a closer look but after her set was over that was it for me I just couldn't stand it any more and walked out. The thought of having to sit through another set of watching one of their welfare breeders take their clothes off made me sick to my stomach.
I didn't recognize any of their dancers, waitresses or even some of the bouncers from back in the day, looks like everyone has left except for the little Mexican that walks around pretending to be some sort of manager, he mumbled something to me in his broken English but I couldn't quite figure out what he meant. When their tax evading owner get out of jail he might want to consider selling this dive before the corrupt town of Harvey condemns it.
